Looks promising

Keeps crashing when I trying to add new "Dropbox" remote (so its not working at all). But it works via import/export to Dropbox, though its not so convenient. Otherwise editing is quite nice, after all. I hope Dropbox issue will be fixed soon ) Another issue - with auto fill suggestions pop up. It keeps popping after non-ascii chars every time. Please make it optional or skip for non-askii words completely

Like the program, thanks for your work

It’s a good editor, I’m not a professional, so just in my humble opinion.

Top notch!

I dont know what to say. This program is brilliant. I have been using many other editors, but this is the first one that really feels like a true development editor. Others I tried are a bit gimmicky, good code editing but not great keyboard support and navigation. This is a great tool. I hope developer will continue to add out features (ex: iCloud sync of preferences between iPad and iPhone, ability to synchronize a local directory with a remote directory, code snippet - to quickly insert text snippets and eventually better intellisense code-completion). But even with out these things, I am very impressed.

Fantastic

Been searching for a good code editor for several days now. This one is by far the best. A++

Amazing

Looks just like sublime text. And connects to a sever really easily.

Great

Was looking for something comparable to sublime that I could use on my iPad and this is great. Its not the most intuitive app but its also not hard to figure out. One of the better text editors Ive found in the App Store

Garbage, dont understand what this even does

Cant even create a new file and just start writing code. A lot of the buttons dont even work

Massive setup required just to see files

Heres what happens. a. Start app b. Get told to go to Github, where the instructions are (and I quote): Upload the gocoeditserver.php to a folder on your Server or clone this repo Chmod the parent folder and give gocoeditserver.php write rights Access gocoeditserver.php in your Browser Notice the "Connector Code" Enter the "Connector Code" in your GoCoEdit App Use it (End quote) So as far as I can tell, you need a computer with a separate FTP client to even get started. And those are the only instructions you get. The developer is completely non-contactable (not even an email address). No doubt hes skilled and well intentioned, but this app is clearly more of a hobby than a business for him.

First rate for programming students!

Im a game design student at Full Sail whos also a father of two young children while also working a full time job. Lugging my MacBook Pro to work can be quite the task for assignments but this was a true answer to prayers. It just so happens that I use my iCloud Drive to be able to code my assignments anywhere. This app conveniently allows me to pull my code up on my iPad and continue where I left off!! As I learn different languages, the app grows with me and I can code in all the other popular languages as I pick them up. Great job! $5 well invested!!!

Pretty sweet

Really nice code editor app

Amazing App!

<-- Updated --> Fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. This is an amazing app. Highly recommend it!

Incredible, but good luck figuring it out.

If youre an analyst, admin, or developer, this is a killer app for making a phone into a mobile office. It works seamlessly with Transmit, and offers a combination of text-editing features for the iPhone Ive seen nowhere else on the App Store. The UI is unconventional, and takes about three minutes to understand. Similarly to "Pro" apps, there is good reason for this, as the iOS HIGs are not applicable to serious text editing. Theres a lightweight command language exposed in the find prompt that Id like to explore. However there is virtually no documentation available within the app, so its difficult to uncover these types of hidden features.

looks good but not ready for prime time yet

Slow to respond when tapping around. Not enough languages supported for syntax highlighting; Perl is notably missing. Ill keep it and see how it improves.

Better than Texstastic and Others

This is by far the best Java coding app on the app store. Loaded with useful features. Auto completion is great (better than any other iOS app Ive seen). File handling is great. And the best part is the support. The developer is extremely responsive and helpful (used Twitter to contact him).

Shows Promise

Keyboard support is minimal. For example, tabs and cursor pgdn/pgup dont work (must touch virtual tab button on screen). Otherwise, it looks really promising. Too much touch interface required -- to code efficiently, I need hands off the screen as much as possible. One interesting feature is integrated miniterminal. Unfortunately, as with other areas such as CMD entry, the lack of keyboard focus requires you to select the field before entering commands, after which you also cant simply type the "Return" key on the keyboard. You must again reach out and touch a virtual button to execute the command. Finally, even a minimal textual instruction manual would be helpful as some of the features arent intuitive.

Excellent editor

Loaded up some HTML and JS scripts and they worked like a charm. Intuitive interface and all around excellent editor so far. Youll want to get a dedicated keyboard if youll be doing a lot of scripting from scratch so this seems perfect for loading up pre-made files for small edits and testing. Theres a couple bugs related to files and folders showing up in the file browser and loss of cached information before saving. But all in all a well written app.

Great app, well designed and organized . LOVE IT!

This is the first app Ive ever bought and I absolutely love it! Its very appealing to the eye, and makes me feel like Im at my computer, programming. Good for on the go! Love it !

About FTP server

I cant running the mini-shell.

Not perfect but VERY well done

I was very surprised at how well this app works. Not only that but the apps UI makes getting up to speed quick so I could get connected to my Dropboxes and SSH/SFTP sites crazy-fast. Only reason Im not rating this app a 5 is that Im finding it a bit tough to set the cursor at the beginning of a line as well as selecting a whole, but single line of text (Im using an iPhone 6 Plus). If the developer improves that, or maybe Ill just learn more about the apps preferences and/or features, and Ill update my rating to a 5. Overall, an awesome text editor -- would recommend to anyone!

Crashes on FTP

I attempted to add an FTP connection, but the connection was unsuccessful and caused the app to start crashing when going to the login popup, which it does whenever the app opens, making it completely unusable.
